Will it work with my water softener?
Yes! The SaltCo Home Sensor is designed for universal compatibility. It works with all major water softener brands including Culligan, Kinetico, GE, Whirlpool, Kenmore, and more. If your softener has a standard brine tank with a lid, it will work.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
Yes, you need a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. Most home routers support this by default. The sensor stores readings locally if Wi-Fi goes out and syncs when restored.
How do low-salt alerts work?
You set your threshold (like 25% or 15%) in the app. When your salt drops below that level, you get a push notification, email, or text—your choice.
How accurate is the measurement?
The ToF sensor is accurate to within about 1 inch, which translates to roughly 5% accuracy on your fill level. The app learns your tank over time to improve estimates.
Can I monitor more than one tank?
Yes! Each sensor monitors one tank, but you can add multiple sensors to your account and monitor them all from the same app.
